According to many surveys, the conclusion is that it does hinder gains, however there are also many users in the thundersplace forum that made huge gains and also jerked off quite a lot during the process.
From my personal experience, I think its important to limit the times you masturbate, however a release once or twice a week is healthy.
The best way to find out how many times you should masturbate is to use this taoist formula:
Age in Years – 7 / 4 = X
X is number of days you should have between ejaculations.
So if I am 32 years old:
32 – 7 = 25 / 4 = 6.25 days
So I should ejaculate just once a week.
Doing more, will affect my Chi (energy levels) and that will affect negatively other areas of my life: motivation, business, pickup…etc
Timing (when you masturbate) is also very important if you are serious in your penis enhancement journey. I don´t recommend masturbating 4-5 hours before a workout, that will affect your erection levels and blood flow, which is really important if you want to make good girth gains.
To get good results with the Bathmate for example, it´s important that you pump in an erect state, and guess what? It will be very difficult to do so if you have jerked off a few hours ago.
You should also abstain of masturbation 5-6 hours after your wokout. If you play with yourself and bust nut you are going to experience turtling (contraction of the penis), this is detrimental for your potential gains.
The whole idea behind the SRT theory of Mike Salvini was to maintain the expanded state your penis is in after a workout, that´s why it is encouraged to use an extender after your exercises. To summarize, find out with the taoist formula how many days you should leave between ejaculations, and avoid jerking off 4-5 hours before and after your workout.
Sex is fine after the workout, you will notice that you don´t experience any turtling after sex as you do with masturbation. You can´t trick the body, the chemicals and hormonal reaction of your body just after sex is completely different than when you jerk off.
Also when I talk about masturbation, I am assuming it finishes also with an ejaculation (which is really the “bad part”). Masturbation without ejaculation (edging) is fine, and won´t affect your gains, there are many people that also say it improves gains.

However I find the whole edging thing to be a slippery slope, it will leave you so HORNY that you will end up busting a nut. If not today, probably tomorrow.
So masturbate in your rest days, and dont feel guilty about it, just don´t use any porn. Think about previous sexual experiences if you need some mental stimulation or even better, just focus on the feelings and sensations.
